UPDATED AGAIN: Rite-Aid, 11/14-11/20
Well, shopping at Rite-Aid is starting to feel like "shopping at Publix." Maybe I should change the name of my blog back to I LOVE PUBLIX because that is how my Rite-Aid shops are making me feel these days. I had a fantastic shop today and I found everything that I needed; had to go to two different Rite-Aid's but that's what you have to do when you are stocking up on the things that you need. If your store is out of stock for an item then don't forget to get your rainchecks. I had to get one for the Libby Pumpkin because the first store that I went to didn't have any in stock. Who knows.....maybe there will be a better coupon to use with that raincheck next week!
UPDATE: Made a quick 10-minute trip to Rite-Aid tonight to get some Drano for the clogged tub. Lori at dixieclip.com had a great scenario on her website for the Secret and Olay bath bars and I just couldn't resist. Thank you so much Lori! I also decided to pick up some more vitamins as I love the NatureMade Multi-vitamins for "Him" and "Her." We are headed to the mountains this week for Thanksgiving. We are going to spend time playing in the snow and the children wanted some cocoa so I picked up some Swiss Miss with my overage on the Secret/Olay deal. I also decided that I love L'Oreal's lipstick. I tried out a few shades this morning from my shop on Sunday and went back tonight to purchase the same shades as they are terrific! I have my shop planned for next week and have already scoped out the Rite-Aid in Utah that will be closest to our destination spot. I hope to have a picture and the details up on Sunday or Monday. :)
UPDATE: Made another quick trip to pick up some more make-up. Fell in love with the Almay eye shadows. Really terrific eyeshadows with custom colors for your exact eye-color.

NOTE: I didn't actually buy 10 Libby pumpkins (they didn't have 10 in stock when I got to the store) but I wanted to show you this scenario as it is a great one. I substituted 4 pantry condensed soups (either mushroom or chicken) for the pumpkin as they were also allowed in the UP Reward deal. I did get a raincheck for the Libby Pumpkin so that I could buy some more and then I went to ebay and ordered 20 of the $1/2 libby fruit coupons. I'll go back and have my store order me 20 cans and get all 20 of them for $2.00 (a terrific deal). I'll have to share my recipe for pumpkin bars in a few days as they call for canned pumpkin and evaporated milk. :)
NOTE: I reached the 500 point level with my welness card which means I now get 10% off of regular priced items. My posts are going to start reflecting this so keep an eye on the details as you read my shop.
NOTE: There is an SCR rebate for the Revlon tool. $3 Rebate wyb $10 in Revlon tools. that brings my final balance to $28.51.
NOTE: Ok, my head is spinning a little with inputting the details of this shop. I think it is much more difficult to break down your scenarios with all of these UP Reward deals (i.e. buy $10 in product and get $4 UP reward). I'm an advanced couponer and even I am a little confused by my scenarios above. If you're one of the RCG, CBC or GBC folks and you're confused then just give me a call. I'll try and walk you threw one of the above scenarios if you need help (especially if there is a product that you really want to get).

Great job!!! I looooove Rite Aid these days too! ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks as though Starburst has taken over your addiction to Skittles? I'm feeling a little disappointed...
ReplyDeleteMelea, I almost put two big bags of skittles into my shop at the end of the day but the price of the Starburst won me over (90% off....just $.39 cents a bag)!! When I got home I opened a packet of skittles from last week and ate them in your honor (tell Lisa I found the Sour Cores on sale last week for 75% off). Woo-hoo.
ReplyDeleteMissing you guys. Just got off the phone with Nita Gunn and we were reminiscing about CBC and all of our friends there. Talked to her for about an hour about our weekend and all the fun things we did!
Great job I love see deals like this... keep em' coming!
ReplyDeleteYou convinced me to give Rite Aid a try this week. Check out my blog ;) Not nearly as good as you but I'm giving it a shot!
ReplyDeleteHey Kelly!
ReplyDeleteI went to RiteAid yesterday and got a pretty good deal on diapers! I did three transactions using the 5/$25 coupon, plus the manu. coupons I had and up rewards. I got 280 diapers for about $25. I normally order my diapers from diapers.com (cheaper than Costco) but I pay about $48 for 200 something diapers (but less than 280). So thanks for the scenario idea from a couple weeks ago! There is such a sense of satisfaction after getting such a good deal on something I use all the time! I'm even starting to stock up on the tiny diapers for our one on the way.
Thanks again for keeping up your blog. You give great ideas!
Kelley
Thanks for your note Kelley. I really appreciate hearing from folks when my post has helped them. It really takes a long time to type up the information and it provides me with some satisfaction when I know that people are actually using the information. Otherwise, I feel as though I'm spinning my wheels. :)
ReplyDeleteI had a great time stocking up on diapers too this weekend. I am stockpiling diapers for our next baby too! We are still looking for a social worker to work with on our homestudy and then we'll start our next adoption. I hope to have all of my diapers, baby food, and formula stockpiled before he/she arrives!
Have a great day Kel.
Man have I learned that anything that Riteaid sells I should wait to use my coupons there when it goes on sale. Example, I already used my 2/2 cheerios peelies at Publix, I figured .99 was a good deal at Publix after bogo and coupons but noooo of course Riteaid can top that .50 each after sale and coupons. Well leason learned!
ReplyDeleteGreat shopping trip thanks for the post very helpfull.
Christa, you are so right! I am actually pretty impressed with Rite-Aid's sale prices (even without coupons). Their prices on food items seem really reasonable. I can't beat their prices at any of my local grocery stores. I'm glad someone else remembers those awesome $2/2 peelies at Publix. LOL. Thanks for stopping by Christa!
ReplyDeleteJust curious...on the Viactiv how did you use 2 VV coupons?
ReplyDeleteParty of 5, the use of 2 VV coupons is YMMV. My Rite-Aid allows the use of multiple VV coupons. I have 4 different video value accounts; one for each member of my family.
ReplyDeleteBTW, if your Rite-Aid does not allow 2 VV coupons in one transaction then you can just purchase the items in separate transactions or go to a different Rite-Aid to buy the item on a different day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout-out! Just posted my most recent Office Depot run, if you have one local. What kind of formula do you use??
ReplyDeleteDixieclip, thank YOU for the scenario. I was pretty excited to try the Olay Bath Bars. Haven't tried them yet. That's one of the things that I LOVE about couponing the most. You get to try all kinds of new products for FREE.
ReplyDeleteI usually stockpile Similac but not sure what I am going to stockpile here as I don't think that I will have the overage to get Similac. LOL. We're in process for our 3rd adoption so I may have to purchase formula at Costco. We'll see.
thank you so much for your post it helped me alot this week.
ReplyDeleteOne quick question for the revlon lipsticks did you buy 4 in one transaction and use 4 of the $5 off revlon coupon?
Hi Lidia! I bought two per transaction. I separated them because for every two you buy a $4 UP Reward will print (they total about $13 for two so you will have to fill in with other items). You should try and do two transactions and then fill in with something else (like the Summer's Eve Douche which are entirely free with coupons or the travel size bandaids which are moneymakers after UP Reward). Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteIf you decide to get the band-aids try and look for peelies which are located on the Johnson & Johnson first aid products close to the regular band-aids. I found several peelies on first aid products in a stand that was on the side of an end cap. If you use the peelies then the band-aids are more of a moneymaker!
ReplyDeleteKelly,
ReplyDeleteHi Cutie Pie! You're smokin' hot as usual. Wish there was a Rite-Aid closer here than West End. We go once a month when Sandy gets his allergy shot, but that's it. Your scenarios are great! Here's something you can do with your Aussie products: http://www.savingandgiving.net/cvs/free-rachael-ray-brush-set-with-49%C2%A2-aussie-purchase/
Love and miss you, sister - Lori
I have a question non-related to your Rite-Aid trip. How do you post your picture where it will have the expanded view? I'd love to add that to my blog. Thanks, Tshanina
ReplyDeleteLori, my darling friend. So nice to hear from you. Wish you had a Rite-Aid closer. There have been some pretty good deals lately. Thank you so much for the link to the FREE brush set. I sure do miss you and Sandy. Big kisses and hugs to you.

Thrifty T, the pics automatically do that when I upload them.
