UPDATED: Rite-Aid, 6/26-7/2

Great moneymakers and freebies this week at Rite-Aid!

Huge Lamisil moneymaker!

My hubby made me an awesome dinner for my birthday!

Hot coffee and my cheat sheet; ready to hit Rite-Aid bright and early.

The awesome raspberry cake!

I was up pretty late last night preparing for my shop this morning.  I am usually up late one night a month when the video value coupons turn over.  There are so many new coupons that match the upcoming sale!  I always take a few moments to find a few more deals so that I can maximize my savings.  I had coffee this morning which kept me perky through most of the morning but I really hit a wall after lunch.

Needless to say, I am VERY tired this afternoon so I think I am going to go and take a nap after I post these details!  My hubby and the girls are planning a surprise for me tonight and they are running around whispering and the house smells like my favorite raspberry cake.

**Please keep in mind that some of the deals below are regional (thanks for the reminder Ashley B.)!  The Lamisil Spray, Gold Bond Bodywash, Lysol Healthy Touch, and the Bengay deals are all regional so check your circular and see if you have the 4-page regional insert!

TOTAL:  $308.33

I started out with $58 in UP Rewards and I ended up with $60.40 in UP Rewards.  I also earned $13.99 in Rite-Aid rebates.

NOTE:  I went to two Rite-Aid's today and had a great shop at both of them.  I had to do a post coupon transaction at the second store because I forgot a few coupons this morning while I was sleepily trying to calculate my shop.

NOTE: The "stainless-look" Healthy Touch Hand Soap Kit is not on sale even though it is the same price as the other kits and has the exact same components in it.  The cashier let me scan two of the regular kits so that the price would be correct and the UP Reward would print.  They only had two kits in stock and one of them was the stainless kit.

NOTE: I calculated wrong on the Nivea Happy Sensation deal.  For some reason I kept calculating this deal with my 20% discount and it came out much better.  I will probably take these back.

NOTE: I haven't received anymore $3/15 survey coupons in the last two shops.  I went to my favorite store today and I usually get a survey for every receipt there but I didn't receive any today.  I'll keep trying to find out if there is some correlation between the time that I normally go to that store and the generation of the survey receipts.

NOTE: There is another lamisil rebate coming out on 6/29.  You could purchase 2 of the lamisil by 6/28 and submit for one rebate and then purchase the other two and submit for the other rebate and you will make even more.  The 6/29 rebate is for $5.99 but I'm not sure which product it is for yet so you might have to purchase a different product than the spray.

NOTE: If you're looking for a filler item to bring your balance up to a dollar (before tax) so that you can use another UP Reward then you can throw in the Cella chocolate covered cherries.  They are $.26 cents with the 20% discount or $.33 cents regular price.  They can usually be found by the registers.  I try and scope them out in the store and have some ready when I check out so that I don't have to go looking for them in the middle of my transactions.

UPDATED: Rite-Aid, 6/19-6/25

Headed out to Rite-Aid yesterday to roll my UP Rewards.  I separated my transactions to maximize my savings with my $3/15 survey coupons.  I was super excited to stock up on some items that I needed.  I was out of paper towels, wipes and batteries so I was thankful that they were all on sale this week.  I've never used Brawny towels so it will be fun to try a new product!  Has anyone ever used Brawny towels before; if so, please leave a comment and let me know what you think.  I prefer the Bounty towels.

Just returned from my trip to Oregon....

Driving to Crowne Point with views of the Columbia River Gorge!

Hiking to Bridal Veil Falls

Tasting some of the finest Pinot Noir at Erath Winery.

Eating cheese samples at Tillamook Cheese Factory!

Did I mention they also make ice cream?

Driving to the Oregon Coast

Eating our way through the International Food Cart scene in Portland!

Hi everyone.

Flew in from Portland yesterday.  Unpacking today and getting everything back in order. I've included a few pics of some of the things that we did while we were in Oregon.  Oregon is a beautiful state; simply stunning.  Hope to go shopping sometime tomorrow or the next day.

Gonna get me some:

Samy Hair Foam - $4 moneymaker!
Colgate - $.75 cent moneymaker!
Zantac - $1 moneymaker!
St. Joseph Aspirin - FREE
Stride Gum - FREE
Prell Shampoo - FREE
Band Aids - $.50 cents a pack for children's band-aids!

My plan is to roll my UP Rewards.  They expire 6/24 and I've been out of town so I need to roll them!  I may have to throw in some items this week as I just have too many UP's.  I also have several $3/15 survey coupons to use so I see some more free items in my future!

Have you spotted a great deal.  Leave a comment here so that we can benefit from your couponing prowess.

UPDATED: Rite-Aid, 6/5-6/12

Last weekend
We were camping last weekend in the wine country so I wasn't able to post my shop.  I actually made it to Rite-Aid on the last day of the sale and scored a few good deals.  I spent the majority of my UP Rewards so I had to start all over again this week.  It was a beautiful Memorial Day weekend and we really enjoyed spending time with our children.

To my friends at RCG, GBC, and CBC......We went to several wineries in Healdsburg, CA and we had some wonderful opportunities to share Christ with some of the people that we encountered.  What a joy to share the good news that we can be forgiven of our sins and know the peace of a life in Christ.  The beauty of the wine country filled me with joy as I contemplated God's creation.

Eating out with the children @ a Hawaiian place.

Our very comfy tent.

My daughter lighting her first campfire.

Burning Marshmallows @ the crazy campground

Matanzas Creek Winery

The family minus mom.

Little sweetheart.

A farmhouse in Healdsburg

The vineyards of Healdsburg

A beautiful fountain at White Oak Winery

my small shop over Memorial Day!

My shop today
I was pretty excited to get up this morning and head out to Rite-Aid to get the Oxi-Clean and the Pampers.  I needed both of them and I found everything in stock!  I had to go to 3 different stores today to get what I needed.  I hit the first two stores this morning and then stopped at a different Rite-Aid near my house on the way home from lunch.

It was a very strange day today at Rite-Aid.  A mysterious day....

It started out well and then as soon as I got to the register it began to get a little kooky.  For some reason none of my UP Rewards printed on my first transaction (the Pampers, Veet, and the Oral-B toothbrushes didn't print).  I was out $18 in UP Rewards but the manager that I ended up talking to was new and I realized that he was just plain nervous so I decided to just call customer service to find out what happened.  I didn't have time to do any of my other transactions because I spent too much time at the register on my first transaction and I wanted to go to another store to find some more Veet.

I travelled to my favorite store and one of the cashiers greeted me and asked me how my morning was going.  I told her about the mysterious UP Rewards and the manager that I had encountered at the last store and my decision to just call Rite-Aid.  She very graciously offered to just give me my UP Rewards on a gift card so that I wouldn't have to wait to get them in the mail.  I'm still trying to figure out why my UP Rewards didn't print out.  Usually that would only happen if I had reached my limit on the items.  If anyone out there knows why this might have happened please leave me a comment or email me.  Thanks!

I was afraid to use my wellness card with the 20% discount after that first transaction so used another card the rest of the day.  I wasn't able to maximize my savings because I didn't have my 20% discount, however, I still saved a little bit.  For some reason the UP's from my last transaction didn't print today for the Veet or the Pampers (and I was using a different card).  Like I was a mysterious day.

My out of pocket was higher than normal because I calculated my deals wrong and didn't separate my transactions efficiently.  Oh well, I was totally off my game today.  It happens.

So, here's the deal.
