Rite-Aid this week.....5/22-5/28

Just not feeling "it" this week.  Looked at the ad and only saw a few things that might get me to the store this week:

- Cheap Q-tips (have a year supply in my stockpile so not that interested)
- Possibly free Coppertone (with the $2/1 Rite-Aid Q that should have come in your weekly Rite-Aid email)
- Dixie plates for $1.00 a stack (with the Video Values Q)
- Possibly inexpensive playtex sippy cups (wyb 6 with the 20% discount and the insert Q)
- Sort-of cheap cetaphil (we're out so I may have to make the trip for that item)

Just not that much to interest me....have you found any good deals this week.  Post them in the comments section.  :)

  2. I'm with you this week. I am doing the diaper deal next week but as for this week...I am going to pass...and it's kind of a nice feeling.

  3. Hey Kelly,
I agree, there wasn't much I was interested in this week either. But I did go today to get Fish Oil. It was the only thing I got, so I was able to use all my coupons and Up Rewards on them. Here's what I did: I bought 2 bottles at $10.99 because it was by one get second one 50% off. I used a $3 off $15 for taking the online survey, I had $8 Up Rewards and used $1 manu coupon (I used the video values coupon last week and ended up returning the fish oil because it wasn't a great deal. So essentially I wasted the coupon, except they let me keep the $10 in Up Rewards that my deal got me, so it really wasn't a waste). So I paid $4.48 oop for 2 bottles of fish oil. My mistake was thinking I was going to get $5 in Up Rewards because the deal this week was get $5 in Ups when you buy $20 worth of NatureMade. Since the reg price was $10.99 I thought I had met that requirement, but since the second bottle was 50% off, I actually didn't meet it! Oops! I'm still learning and I won't make that mistake again (hopefully)!
I'm trying to be good and put a shop together every week, even if it's a little one like this week. It's all starting to come together for me and is getting easier every week.
Hope you and your family are doing well!

  4. Kelley W. - I was thinking about you last night as I went to bed. I was wondering how you were doing at home with your new baby. I was going to see if you wanted to get together and hang out on Friday this week. I thought I might bring a couple of meals by for you (I have some already made in my freezer). Let me know if this Friday is good for you. :)

  5. Hey Doug T.! I actually avoid Walgreens like the plague. I gave up shopping there almost 2 years ago. I just abhor their register system. LOL. Nice to see you here Doug T.

  8. Lidia, I just read through the changes. Not sure why they changed the B1G1 coupon policy. So strange. Don't think it will affect us much though as that scenario doesn't happen very often. Nice to hear from you Lidia!

  9. Of course, the limit of 4 man. coupons in one transaction will just mean that we will need to separate those items that generate UP Rewards into separate transactions. This shouldn't be a problem as the UP Reward deals are tracking on our receipts now.

  10. What is the new policy change that you are talking about?

  11. Jerilyn, you can read more about it here:
    http://www.iheartriteaid.com/

Here's the synopsis of what is changing:
    - we cannot use a bogo coupon on a bogo sale
    - we can use a "cents-off" coupon w/ a bogo coupon on B1G1 sales.
    - limit of 4 of the same man. coupons in any transaction.

  12. Hey Kelley- thanks for the heads up on the sippy cup deal. you are so good at seeing deals that my other blogs don't see. I got 5 sippys for $4 after all my coupons and then got $10 RR back. I don't comment ever but I read your blog every week. I hope you have a great Memorial Day. I am actually headed to your old home Nashville for a HS Graduation (I am from Birmingham).

  13. Hey Ashley!!! How are you Birmingham girl. I sure do miss you. I remember you from my Publix blog. I'm so stoked that you did the sippy cup deal. I had planned on going to get that deal last week but my hubby whisked me away for a camping trip this weekend with my girls. I did make it to Rite-Aid while we were in the wine country camping but totally forgot about the sippy cups. LOL. I did pick up some of the Cetaphil and some of the Cottonelle refill pack wipes (those are great for potty training little ones).

Anyway, it's so nice to hear from you. I'm really glad that the blog is still helping you from time to time. Warm regards to you Ashley!

  14. Ashley....btw, I always think of you when I think of the store relationships with the manufacturer because of your background. :)
